How to separate and dispose of burnable, nonburnable, and recyclable (bottles, cans) garbage

Recyclable Items
  • Beverage and food bottles such as 1.8L bottles, beer bottles, beverage bottles, whiskey bottles, etc.

  • Aluminum and steel cans for food and beverages

  • Please remove the caps and dispose as nonburnable garbage.
  • Please empty and rinse out the bottles and cans.
  • Milky-white bottles, heat resistant glass bottles, cups, bottles containing agricultural chemicals or strong medicine, and cracked or broken bottles will not be collected.
  • Please empty and rinse the inside of the container and do not crush.
  • We collect tin cans, and  dried seaweed and powdered milk cans.  Cans made with material other than aluminum and steel,  and aerosol spray cans are not collected (These should be disposed with nonburnables)
Burnables
  • Petrochemicals
    Plastic bags, plastic, Styrofoam, etc.
  • Kitchen waste
    Cooking waste, leftovers, tea leaves, egg and sea shells
  • Paper waste
    Used paper, cartons, wrapping paper
  • Leather goods
    Footwear, bags, belts, etc.
  • Grass and wood scrap
    Flowers, wood scrap, branches (cut to under 50cm in length and placed in designated bags), etc.
  • Other
    Burnables such as cassette tapes, video tapes, and rubber footwear, etc.
  • Use the Miyoshi-designated blue garbage bags to dispose of this type of garbage.
  • Please drain the water from kitchen waste.
  • Soak up tempura oil with paper or solidify with coagulant before disposal.
  • Remove and flush all waste from disposable diapers before disposing
Nonburnables
  • China
    Bowls, plates, flowerpots, vases, etc.
  • Glassware
    Bottles, glass sheets, broken or cracked glass, and cups, etc. that cannot be disposed with recyclables
  • Metal
    Cans, toys and saucepans, etc. that cannot be disposed with recyclables
  • Use the Miyoshi-designated red garbage bags to dispose of this type of garbage.
  • Please wrap glass waste in paper before disposal to avoid injury.
  • Please completely empty the contents of aerosol spray cans and puncture before disposal.
